Programs & Services

Based on input from community members in SE Portland, we have developed a tentative list of the Programs and Services to be offered at Café au Play as resources become available. We will prioritize which adult and children’s programs to implement over the first year based on the feedback provided by the community, available funding, and space.

Adult Classes and Workshops
Classes in prenatal and infant care, child development, positive parenting techniques, nutrition, finance/budgeting, conflict resolution, and career exploration. Support groups for diverse parent populations, workshops in arts & crafts and yoga.

Children’s and Family Activities
Story times, arts & crafts and gardening activities, safety/self-defense, creative movement, and exercise classes

Information Services
Needs / Services / Resource board, café Newsletter and Activities Calendar

Activity Space / Meeting Room
For use by neighborhood associations, Atkinson and Franklin schools, and by community organizations such as local parent groups.

Exhibit / Performance Area
To host local artists and musicians.
